Eurocopter certificou o EC130 T2 em 2012 como evolução do EC130 B4, motor mais potente Arriel 2D (952 shp vs. 847), cabine alargada em 12 cm, peso vazio reduzido por uso de composites e flat-floor reconfigurável. Em 2014, com unificação Airbus Helicopters, virou H130. Mais de 250 unidades H130 produzidas entre 2012-2024. Plataforma única no portfólio Airbus single-turbine, H125 (utility) é versão sem Fenestron, H130 é versão tour/VIP.
Airbus oferece versão H130 SAR/EMS com guincho de resgate (hoist) montável e cabine traseira flat reconfigurada para 1 maca + 2 ATLS providers + equipamento médico. Air Methods (EUA) opera H130 em algumas regiões para HEMS short-range. Limitação: single-engine não atende contratos EMS noturnos IFR, esses operadores ficam em H135/H145 twin. H130 EMS encontra nicho em day-VFR HEMS rural.

O H130 traz cabine alargada em 12 cm vs. EC130 B4 e configuração flat-floor totalmente reconfigurável, permite 8 PAX (1 piloto + 7 passageiros) ou configurações VIP de 5 PAX em poltronas executivas individualizadas. Janelas panorâmicas amplas (60% maiores que AS350) maximizam experiência de tour. Air Methods (operadora EMS americana) usa H130 em algumas operações HEMS ground-loaded (cabine traseira flat permite carregar maca pela porta clamshell).
O Fenestron do H130 evoluiu para configuração de 10 pás (vs. 8-9 dos modelos anteriores), espaçamento variável entre pás reduz ruído tonal característico. Resultado: H130 é certificado para operação em zonas com restrições acústicas extremas (Grand Canyon Special Flight Rules Area, parques nacionais europeus, helicidades urbanas).
